Meet our Rector the Reverend John Elliott Lein

Father John officially began his ministry at Christ Episcopal Church in Eastport on July 1st, 2023.
A Life Rooted in Washington County
John and his family live on a historic 1860 homestead in nearby Marion Township. As animal lovers, his family has two cats, a beagle pup named Bede, 18 chickens, with goats and pigs joining the family soon!
Family is central to John’s life. His wife, Miriam, serves the local community through her work in the health office at the Pleasant Point reservation. Together, they are raising four children, ranging from a university student at WVU to a student in the local Washington County elementary school system.
